Mathuran Marianayagam Recognised as Green Star Champion

GBCA has recognised Mathuran Marianayagam as 2024 Green Star Champion for the delivery of world leading projects across cities and communities.

The award recognises the vision, passion and commitment of leaders across our industry who work tirelessly in the delivery of a more sustainable built environment through the GBCA’s Green Star certification program.

GBCA CEO Davina Rooney said the award celebrates professionals across a range of industries who are transforming our buildings and communities to be healthy, resilient and positive through the Green Star principles.

Mathuran has adopted a sustainable approach to enhancing existing buildings, empowering portfolio owners and investors—including Centuria Capital, Vicinity Centres, ISPT, Pro-invest, Compass Group, and Savills Investment Management—to achieve their net-zero carbon goals. Through his projects, Mathuran has delivered practical strategies to help clients reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, develop asset electrification plans, and create net-zero and decarbonisation pathways at both asset and portfolio levels.
